This article will report substantial changes to the user interface of XBOW Console to help existing users find features that have moved or been revised.

Assessment type option: “Test for specific threat vectors” has moved

This change was part of the work to expand the ways you can customize an assessment, released as “Assessment guidance”. It groups the ways to prompt attack agents into a single new “Attack strategies” card.

Old location

Before 12 March 2026, you could chose from three assessment types on the “Assessment type” page.

New location

From 12 March 2026, you can choose between a comprehensive assessment and a retest on the “Assessment type” page. Then on the “Target configuration” page, you can use the “Attack strategy” card in the “Assessment guidance” section to define the specific vulnerability classes to test.
