Define an assessment type

Run a comprehensive assessment when testing an asset for the first time or for compliance purposes. After fixing vulnerabilities, you can run a retest assessment to verify that the issues are resolved.

You can select the assessment type when creating a new assessment.

Choose an assessment type

1. Start a new assessment in XBOW Console.
2. On the “Assessment type” page, choose the type of test you want to run:
   • Select Comprehensive to test using all available attack methods.
   • If you are retesting an asset, select Retest, then choose the vulnerabilities to retest from the displayed list.
